A Chinese professor was appointed vice-rector of the International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage «Silk Road»

From October 1, 2022, Chinese professor Tongqian Zou started working as vice-rector for scientific affairs and innovations of the International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage "Silk Road" in Samarkand.

Professor Tongqian Zou has served as an adviser to the president of Beijing International Studies University, a chief expert of the National Social Science Foundation, and a dean of the Chinese Academy of Culture and Tourism. In particular, from 2006 to 2013, he worked as the dean of the tourism management department of Beijing International Studies University. Since 2013, he has been working as an adviser to the president of Beijing International Studies University.

Also, in 2019-2020, he worked as an advisor to the rector of the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, and in October 2020, he was awarded the badge of "Tourism Devotee". Professor Tongqian Zou was recommended for this position by Ji Jinbiao, President of Beijing International Research University.
