A delegation from the Senate of the Oliy Majlis attended the 146th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union held in Manama

About 2,000 delegations from more than 140 countries attended the international event titled "Supporting Peaceful Life and Inclusive Societies: Countering Intolerance".

Malika Kadirkhanova, Chairwoman of the Senate Committee on Women`s Affairs and Gender Equality, addressed the conference. She noted the importance of inter-parliamentary cooperation in combating threats and solving problems related to ensuring sustainable development.

Kadirkhanova also attended the 2nd conference of the Parliamentary Network of the Non-Aligned Movement in Manama.

The conference resulted in the adoption of the Manama Declaration.
