A forum of the organization of Turkic states on implementation of the project «Tabarruk ziyarat» was held

On 3 October Turkestan (Kazakhstan) hosted a forum of Turkic States on implementation of the project "Tabarruk ziyarat" with participation of representatives of state organisations of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan as well as tourism companies.
It is worth noting that on 24 May 2022 in Shamai city of Azerbaijan Republic there was held VII meeting of representatives of tourism sphere of the states-members of the Organization of Turkic States. There it was decided to launch "Tabarruk ziyarat" project between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan and its multilateral development in the near future. Current forum was created precisely to ensure implementation of this decision.
The forum was attended by officials from the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, State Customs Committee, State Security Service, as well as officials from tourism and cultural heritage departments of Samarkand, Bukhara regions and Tashkent city.
At the beginning of the forum, Mirvahid Azimov, deputy secretary general of the Organization of Turkic States, expressed gratitude to all who attended and noted that the forum was of great significance for development of pilgrimage tourism in the two countries.
Head of the department at the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage Ibrahim Barnoev, in turn, talked about the importance of the "Tabarruk ziyarat" concept.
During the forum were also discussed such issues as increasing the flow of tourists under the "Tabarruk ziyarat" project, further expansion of cooperation between tourism companies, joint creation and sales of tours, drawing up a list of tourist destinations, based on the needs and interests of potential tourists.
Following the forum, a memorandum of cooperation between Turkestan and Samarkand regions was signed.
