A major ethnosport festival is taking place in Ancient Khiva

A presentation was held on the organization of the international ethnosport festival in Khiva, which is scheduled to be held in September 2023.

The event was attended by the Minister of Sports Development Adham Ikramov, who took a closer look at the presentation of the organization of this festival at a high level in order to ensure the fulfillment of the tasks set out in the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated May 25, 2022 No. PD-259 "On measures to popularize and develop ethnosport". Deputy Chairman of the NOC Sherzod Tashmatov was also present at the meeting. Priorities were discussed in the presentation.

    It is expected that guests from 65 countries will be invited to the festival;
    number of guests-1500 people;
    of these, 250 guests of honor (ministers of sports, assistant ministers, heads of Ethnosport Associations, etc.);
    -service personnel and athletes – 1,250 people;
    VIP guests (250 people) will be accommodated in a comfortable hotel in Khiva;
    guests, service personnel and athletes (1,250 people) are accommodated in 144 hotels operating in Khiva (83 of them in Ichanskal, 61 in the city of Khiva).

Following the presentation, the Minister of Sports Development outlined additional priorities in this direction.
