A meeting was held with the President of the European Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee

On February 23, 2022, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament David McAllister.

The current state and prospects of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the European Union were discussed at the meeting, with special emphasis on intensifying inter-parliamentary dialogue.

EU-Central Asia Special Representatives for Afghanistan held a consultative meeting in Tashkent today considered the fruitful results of the 15th meeting of the Committee, which took place in Brussels on 31 January under the Uzbek-EU Parliamentary Cooperation.

It was noted that it is necessary to strengthen interregional cooperation, expand trade, economic and investment ties, attract leading EU companies to Uzbekistan.

Interest was expressed in the implementation of socially oriented projects in the ecologically vulnerable region of the Aral Sea region, together with the European Union and its member states.
