A new Finnish ambassador to Uzbekistan has been appointed
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a video conference meeting with the newly appointed Ambassador of Finland to Uzbekistan Ilkka Ryaisyanen.
During the talks, the sides discussed the organization of the ambassador's visit to Tashkent to present credentials, the practical aspects of holding bilateral meetings in the ministries and departments of Uzbekistan, as well as specific tasks for further expansion of Uzbek-Finnish cooperation.
This year, Tashkent will host regular rounds of political consultations and a meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technological Cooperation, as well as a delegation led by the head of the Finnish Interparliamentary Group for Cooperation with Central Asia Kimmo Kiljunen. An agreement was reached to jointly prepare for his visit to Uzbekistan in January.
