A saffron plantation with a total area of 305 ha

Today, 23 September, a press tour was organised for more than twenty representatives of the national and regional media, journalists and bloggers in the Bakhmal district of Jizzakh region.

In addition to the media, television, newspapers and magazines, Agostino Pinna, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Italian Republic in our country, representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and other state institutions took part in the demonstration planting organized at the saffron plantation.

It should be noted that the project on cultivation, processing and export of saffron plant in Bakhmal district of Jizzakh region is implemented for three years by "BMB-OPERA ZAFFERANO" jointly with BMB TRADE GROUP and Italian company FIN.OPERA SRL, and enterprise "BMB-OPERA Zafaron" jointly with Tajik company "AVAS Group" on the basis of investment of 40.4 million euro on the area of 204.5 ha.

The total area of the saffron plantation was 305 hectares through selective planting of over 16 million saffron onions.
