A social fund has been set up in Kazakhstan to help the population

On behalf of the President of Kazakhstan Kasyym-Jomart Tokayev, a public social fund "Kazakstan xalkina" (for the people of Kazakhstan) was established.
The fund will be headed by Bolat Jamishev, a well-known financier and former finance minister, the government's press service reported on Saturday.

When Tokayev addressed parliament on January 11, he instructed to set up a public social fund "Kazakstan xalkina". The foundation's mission is to address issues in the areas of health, education, and social support.

Moreover, the fund supports the families of law enforcement officers, special services and servicemen killed in the defense of the security and territorial integrity of the Republic.

The fund is formed from private and public sources. According to Tokayev, big business and wealthy citizens should contribute to the fund on a regular basis.
