A suggestion was made to allow all employees to work online due to abnormal cold

Uzhydromet reported that next week Uzbekistan could see a cold snap of up to -27 degrees Celsius. For this reason, the Yuksalish movement has put forward proposals related to this situation. It is noted that if employees do not need to be at work, they should be allowed to work online.

According to the movement, all employers-both public and private sectors-should take a deeper look into the organisation of work processes. Once they are familiar with the working conditions, they should ensure that employees are comfortable in temperature. Employees should be allowed to work online if they do not need to be on site.

The Yuksalish movement suggests that even in an online format, it is proven that tasks can be carried out effectively in a pandemic environment. It also creates conditions for the roads to be cleared of snow and ice without creating congestion.

It is noted that the Yuksalish movement team is shifting to remote work from January 9 to 15. This decision was taken due to difficulties with the heating system of the building where the central office is located. Territorial units are also switching to an online format.

It is also desirable to reduce working hours, especially for those working outdoors. It is noted that arranging for hot drinks for employees whenever possible, providing breaks or changing to prevent cases of colds is also not without benefit.

In addition, the need to provide hot tea in large shopping and service centres and to ensure the smooth running of public transport is emphasised.
