Abdulaziz Kamilov met with the OSCE Secretary General

The parties noted the need for post-conflict reconstruction of Afghanistan.
During the working visit to Stockholm, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov held a meeting with Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, Helga Schmid.
The parties noted with satisfaction that in recent years, interaction between Uzbekistan and the OSCE has risen to a qualitatively new level, filling with practical content. They emphasized the mutual disposition to intensify constructive dialogue in such areas as countering transnational threats, increasing the efficiency and transparency of public administration, developing the digital economy, developing a green economy and protecting the environment, protecting human rights, and promoting the principles of gender equality.
Helga Schmid reaffirmed the OSCE's readiness to co-organize the International Conference dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the implementation of the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy in Central Asia, initiated by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The need to develop a coordinated and consolidated position of the Organization on Afghanistan, including on the post-conflict reconstruction of the country, was noted.
