The Samarkand summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) will be attended by 15 heads of state and ten heads of international organizations cooperating as member countries. Today, in the new conditions of the world economy, Uzbekistan pays great attention to the development of the potential of economic cooperation of the member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

According to the results of 2021, the growth of foreign trade of the SCO member states increased by more than 33%, by more than 8 trillion dollars, and the internal trade turnover in the organization's space increased by almost 40% and amounted to 768 billion dollars. These indicators mean that new opportunities can be opened for the member countries of the organization.

It serves to increase the investment opportunities of our country, raise the exchange of capital between NGOs to a new level and amount, coordinate the activities of the ministries and departments responsible for this issue, realize bilateral interests and strengthen economic reforms.

Among Uzbekistan's "economic" initiatives, the development of a joint action plan within the framework of the SCO Business Council aimed at mitigating global financial and economic threats to promote mutual investment will cover measures to prevent a sharp decline in living standards, ensure food safety and increase the welfare of the population at the expense of achieving economic growth.

At the summit, it is planned to sign the SCO program for the development of interregional trade. In doing so, the internal capabilities of each member country and the factors of external cooperation will be able to achieve not only mutual trade, but also the trasformation of national production routes. As a result, mutual trade is facilitated by the expansion of the nomenclature of goods and services, further renewal of its content and, consequently, an increase in the economic potential of all members of the organization.
