Activities of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz Development Fund

On August 5 of this year, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan - Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Jamshid Khodjaev received the Chairman of the Development Fund of Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan Aziz Aaliev.

For information: Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan Development Fund started its work on April 14, 2021. The priority task of the fund is to develop economic cooperation between the two countries by financing promising and highly profitable joint investment projects in important sectors.

The agenda of the meeting included the issues of operational activity of the Fund, the results of the work carried out during the reporting period, as well as the discussion of the most priority areas of investment of the Fund's funds in the near future.

Projects proposed for consideration by the Foundation Board were studied, including their economic and social importance, profitability, and implementation timelines. In particular, projects on the development of transport infrastructure, as well as the establishment of trade and logistics centers in border areas were considered.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to hold a meeting of the Fund Council in the near future. It is planned to review and approve a number of documents related to the operational and investment activities of the organization.
