«ACWA Power» will build wind power plants with a capacity of 1.1 GW in Uzbekistan

The parties emphasized the development of cooperation projects in the field of energy, in particular, the active participation of "ACWA Power" in a number of projects in the field of energy of Uzbekistan.

Azim Ahmedkhadjaev, First Deputy Minister of Energy, stated at the meeting that the total capacity of the company's planned electricity production capacity in Uzbekistan today is 2.6 GW, i.e. 1.1 GW - wind power stations in the Bukhara region and the Republic of Karakalpakstan, and 1.5 GW in the Syrdarya region. heat is electrical energy.

Also, the parties agreed to form separate working groups for the development of a framework agreement and "road map" on cooperation covering areas such as localization, processing, development and digitalization of gas and electricity networks, renewable energy sources, human capital development.
