After a 13-year hiatus: Relationships with C&A are recovering

Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Davron Vahobov met with representatives of the European company C&A in Dusseldorf, Germany. The talks focused on the introduction of the brand stores of this large company in the Uzbek market, the connection of domestic garment enterprises to the production chain C&A.
Due to the complete lifting of restrictions on Uzbek cotton and the acquisition of GSP + beneficiary status, many benefits have been provided for the import of 6,200 types of Uzbek products to the European Union, and cooperation is developing.
Representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry also paid a working visit to the Federal Republic of Germany on May 16-18 to support entrepreneurship and help national products find customers in the world market.
In particular, on May 16, at the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Federal Republic of Germany, the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry D.Vahobov met with representatives of the largest European company C&A, headquartered in Dusseldorf, Germany.
During the meeting, German partners provided detailed information about the company, particularly, C&A's annual revenue is $ 5 billion euro, the bulk of which includes textiles.
It is estimated that about half of C&A's total orders come from Bangladesh. In addition, C&A manufactures custom-made products in Turkey, Pakistan, China, Cambodia, India and other countries.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the introduction of the company's brand stores in the Uzbek market, the connection of domestic garment enterprises to the production chain of C&A.
