Alibaba to invest more than $1 billion in infrastructure in Turkiye

Alibaba Group intends to invest more than $1 billion in the construction of a logistics hub and data centre in Istanbul and the suburbs of Ankara. John Michael Evans, president of the Chinese company, told the Sabah newspaper.
According to Mr. Evans, the company intends to build a logistics base in Istanbul airport, as well as the largest data centre in Turkiye with an area of 200,000 square meters, which will be located in Temelli. As noted by Alibaba's president, the Istanbul base could become a key point in the supply chain to Europe and the Middle East. The large-scale investment in Turkiye's infrastructure will eventually allow Alibaba to significantly increase revenues.
