Amendments in certification system
Eighteen hotels in Uzbekistan have been rejected by the certification system.
In January 2022, certification audits were conducted at 20 placement service facilities. As a result, 18 hotel service facilities were denied certification due to the lack of electronic key locks (plastic magnetic cards) integrated with electronic software and a special room for the disabled.
In accordance with Article 25 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated October 15, 2020 No LRU-641 "On the rights of persons with disabilities" in hotels and similar accommodation facilities for persons with disabilities requirements for the availability of a single room and the equipment of the room.
O’z DSt 3220: 2017 “Tourism services, which defines the general requirements for accommodation facilities and services. Placement tools. General requirements ”and O’z DSt 3296: 2018 “Tourism services. Hotels and similar accommodation. Classification System” state standards have been amended in accordance with government decisions.
Amendments to the state standard O’z DSt 3220: 2017 came into force on July 3, 2021, while amendments to the state standard O’z DSt 3296: 2018 was introduced on June 30, 2021.
Compliance with these requirements will be verified pursuant to the program of changes made in accordance with the standard during the next inspection of certification facilities. Unwittingly, the investigations did not indicate the expected results.
