American scientists have found a way to treat a very dangerous type of cancer

Lung cancer is one of the most dangerous diseases. Its two main types are known. One is small cell lung cancer and the other is non-small cell lung cancer.

Small cell tumors develop quickly and are highly aggressive. Moreover, it is difficult to detect in the early stages. Therefore, the disease is often diagnosed late. Worse, it is very difficult to treat.

This form of lung cancer is mainly caused by obesity. It is also caused by bad environmental conditions, diseases of the respiratory system, and genetic predisposition.

US scientists have found a way to effectively treat small cell cancer. The research was successfully tested on animals.

For this, doctors transplanted SCLC cells into mice. One group of animals was treated with cyclophosphamide, the second group with SMYD3 inhibitor, and the third group with both drugs. In the fourth group, no treatments were used.

In the end, it became known that the growth of malignant tumors stopped in mice treated with cyclophosphamide and SMYD3 drugs.

According to experts, this new method can be of great benefit in the treatment of patients who do not have a significant effect on chemotherapy treatments.
