Ankara declaration adopted at OTS summit

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev attends the extraordinary summit of Organization of Turkic States in Ankara city on March 16.
President of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, National Leader of Turkmen nation, Chairman of Khalk Maslakhaty, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban, Secretary General of OTS Kubanichbek Omuraliyev and other representatives of institutions and bodies of the Organization took part in the event presided over by the leader of Uzbekistan.
According to the agenda, prospects for multilateral cooperation in emergency management and humanitarian assistance, as well as coordination of efforts in preventing and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters were discussed.
In his speech, the head of our state underlined that today's meeting and solidarity with Turkiye displayed by the Organization became a vivid, practical proof of the strength of friendship and solidarity of Turkic peoples, who stand firmly with one another in the most difficult moments.
"In such a difficult time, the brotherly Turkish people have rallied around the leader of Turkey and displayed enormous courage, bravery, unwavering willpower and noble spirit," the President of Uzbekistan said.
In this regard, Uzbekistan has declared its willingness to help and direct joint efforts toward rebuilding the cities and villages, social and industrial facilities ruined by the earthquake.
The President put forward an initiative to establish a Center for Monitoring and Analysis of Natural Disasters within the Organization of Turkic States and locate it in Tashkent.
The summit resulted in the Ankara Declaration, the signing of an agreement on the establishment of a Turkic Investment Fund, and a decision to prepare an agreement on the formation of a civil protection mechanism.
