Appearance of Neanderthal child found in Teshiktash cave in Uzbekistan shown

A team of palaeoanthropologists from Shili University has demonstrated the appearance of a Neanderthal child found in Teshiktash cave in Uzbekistan.
This is the first computer reconstruction of a fossilised human skull using 3D reconstruction.

In 1938, a fossilized skull belonging to an 8- to 9-year-old Neanderthal who lived between 300,000 and 40,000 years ago was found.

This bone is the first fossil of a Neanderthal found in Asia. Its discovery proved the eastward migration of Neanderthals.

According to experts, the new reconstruction not only clearly shows the appearance of prehistoric humans in the Eurasian region, but also provides new ideas for further studies and demonstrations of Neanderthal morphological features in Central Asia and their adaptation to the environment.
