Apple rejected tungsten, tantalum and gold supplied from Russia

Apple has refused to use tungsten, tantalum and gold supplied by Russian companies at the request of the US government. It is reported by Kommersant with reference to the company's financial statements for the year 2022.

However, at the same time, Apple continues to receive tungsten from the Moliren plant near Moscow.

Also, another major electronics manufacturer, South Korea's Samsung, continues to buy Russian metals, although it does not supply products to Russia. Despite the fact that direct deliveries have been suspended, all exports are carried out through Kazakhstan, India and China.

Experts think that even the world's leading electronics manufacturers who announced the breakdown of trade relations with Russia doubt that they will give up on rare and precious metals. Because there is still no alternative on the market in terms of price.
