Asian Development Bank allocates 161 million dollars for drinking water supply

The decision of the President "On measures to implement the project "Construction and reconstruction of drinking and wastewater systems in cities and districts of Tashkent region (3rd stage)" with the participation of the Asian Development Bank was adopted.

The document aims to increase the level of provision of drinking and wastewater services to residents and business entities in the cities of Angren, Bekobod, Olmaliq, Ohangaron, Chirchik and Yangiyol of the Tashkent region, as well as in the center of Chinoz district, to further improve the sanitary-epidemiological and ecological conditions of these areas, as well as , was adopted in order to further expand cooperation with the Asian Development Bank.

A $161 million loan agreement was signed between the Republic of Uzbekistan and ADB for the implementation of the project "Construction and reconstruction of drinking and wastewater systems in cities and districts of Tashkent region (3rd stage)". The loan repayment period is 25 years, with a 5-year grace period.
