Australia imposed economic sanctions against 14 Russian companies

The Australian government imposed economic sanctions against 14 companies, enterprises and organizations of Russia due to the situation in Ukraine.

This was stated in the message of the Ministry of internal affairs of Australia.

The statement of the ministry said that the autonomous sanctions of Australia include Gazprom, Gazprom oil and Transneft, Kamaz, a group of Companies of diamond mining Alrosa, roselektronika holding, Rostelecom PJ and Rusgidro, Shipbuilding Corporation OJSC, Sevmash Production Association (part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation), as well as a group of Companies of the state oil company of Russia (part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation)., Russian shipping company "sovkomflot", the sea trade port of Novorossiysk, as well as, The Sogaz insurance company and the Center for railway booking of the National Tourist Office of Russia have entered into sanctions against Visit Russia.

To this day, Australia has imposed sanctions on more than 500 Russian and Belarusian citizens, including the two presidents Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko.

With regard to large enterprises and organizations of Russia, economic restrictions were announced, including the ban on the export of weapons and components, raw materials and equipment for the extraction of oil and gas, as well as the ban on the import of energy, weapons and other products from Russia.
