Aziz Abdukhakimov was elected Vice-President of the 24th session of the UNWTO General Assembly

According to the results of the vote of the UNWTO Regional Commission for Europe, representatives from Uzbekistan and Hungary were unanimously elected vice-presidents of the 24th session of the UNWTO General Assembly, which will be held in Morocco in October this year.

The United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) is a specialized intergovernmental agency of the United Nations system that unites 158 member countries, 6 associated territories, two territories with observer status and more than 500 affiliated organizations (2017). UNWTO operates on the basis of the Charter and its accompanying Financial Regulations, which entered into force on January 2, 1975, and is engaged in the development of sustainable and accessible tourism.
