Banknotes bearing the portrait of Charles III have been introduced in the UK

The Bank of England has issued banknotes with the portrait of the new monarch, King Charles III. It is noted that the new money will be put into circulation gradually, beginning in mid-2024.
Instead of the face of the deceased Queen Elizabeth II on the banknotes depicts King Charles. According to sources, the new portrait of the monarch is the only change in the design of banknotes face value 5, 10, 20 and 50 pounds.
Given that British banknotes have been made of plastic for several years, the money will be obsolete for a long time to come. In the meantime, banknotes depicting Elizabeth and Charles will be in parallel circulation.
It should be noted that the first British coins with the portrait of Charles III have already been issued. The 50 pence emigrant coins have been in the country's post offices since the beginning of December this year.
