Belarus has officially applied for membership in the SCO

According to SCO General Secretary Zhang Min, Belarus has officially applied for membership in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). The appeal is expected to be considered at the summit of the Shanghai Organization in Samarkand.
"Belarus has recently officially submitted an application to become a full member of the SCO," noted the Secretary General.
P.S. The Shanghai Cooperation Organization is a regional international association that includes Russia, India, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. In July 2015, Belarus received SCO observer status at the organization's summit in Ufa.
