Biden extends sanctions against Russia for one year

US President Joe Biden has extended by one year the series of sanctions imposed after the start of the war in Ukraine due to Russia's interference in the US election process. This is stated in a statement released by the White House.

- Continues to use it to promote transnational corruption and influence foreign governments.

On April 15, 2021, a state of emergency was declared in the U.S. due to certain dangerous activities of the Russian Federation that threaten national security.

On March 8, 2022, an executive order extending the scope of the state of emergency was signed. Yesterday the state of emergency was extended for another year.
