BMW is launching a paid subscription for some conveniences in the car

BMW failed miserably in 2018 when it launched an $80-a-year subscription for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. However, the company has begun testing the paid subscription service on a larger scale in South Korea for now.

Now, a buyer who buys a new BMW from the Korean market will have to pay separately to use the seat heating function. Here: the monthly subscription price is $18, $176 for 1 year, $283 for 3 years, and $406 for the permanent use package.

Subscription prices for the heated steering wheel function are $10 per month, $161 for 3 years, and $222 for an unlimited period.

Korean buyers will have to pay $304 for unlimited use of Apple CarPlay in BMW, $137 for enhanced engine sound transmitted through audio systems, $8 per month for automatic adjustment of low and high beams, $84 for 1 year, $122 for 3 years, and $183 for an unlimited period.
