Bridgestone has decided to close its plant in Ulyanovsk

Bridgestone, one of the world’s largest tire manufacturers, has decided to shut down its plant in Ulyanovsk due to the situation around Ukraine and the military operations of the Russian Federation. In addition, Bridgestone has already stopped exporting tires to the Russian Federation.

It is reported that the company will cease operations on March 18. New investments in Russia will also be frozen.

The company also said in a statement that it would send 2.5 million euros in aid to Ukraine through the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

Japan's Fujitsu, a maker of electronics, including laptops, also announced on March 14 that it had cut off supplies to Russia.
