Buried without a shroud: 208 people who were repressed during the Soviet era were acquitted

On April 19 of this year, 208 Uzbeks who were repressed during the Soviet era were rehabilitated and acquitted. This was reported by the press service of the Supreme Court.
It is noted that according to Article 83 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, the appellate instance of the Criminal Trial Panel of the Supreme Court acquitted 208 persons in a total of 3 criminal cases. The list of acquitted includes our compatriots who were unjustly and without any evidence by the Soviets, sentenced to death by the decisions of the Tripartite Council and deported to concentration camps.
"At this time, justice was decided, the truth that had not been revealed for years was celebrated. "The pure names of the victims of repression, who selflessly fought for independence and even sacrificed their lives, will live forever in the hearts of our people," the message reads.
For information, in recent years, 408 people who were repressed during the Soviet times were rehabilitated and acquitted by the verdict of the Supreme Court of Uzbekistan.
