By 2026, the country's economy will need about 6 million tons of metal for its needs

On August 12, at the Metallurgical Combine of Uzbekistan, a video selector meeting was held on the issues of development of this sphere, which showed four main tasks.
By 2026, it was calculated that for the needs of the economy of our country, about 6 million tons of metal will be needed. Moreover, the complex situation in the world economy, disruptions in the logistics chain also create difficulties for the activities of large metallurgical enterprises.
The head of State noted that in these conditions it is possible to achieve the goal only through the rapid development of our own metallurgical industry. Four main tasks in this regard were outlined.
The first is the guaranteed supply of metal manufacturing enterprises with raw materials. The second is to support the establishment of metal manufacturing enterprises in all regions. The third is the production of modern metal structures for industries that create high added value. The fourth is the training of qualified personnel, the development of Science and innovation.
Advisor to the Prime Minister B.Islamov noted that our country has reserves of 1 billion 200 million tons of iron ore.
He gave a report on the work carried out in the new deposits, including the Tebinbulak mine in Karaozak. The president also communicated with the leaders of such enterprises in the regions. The meeting was attended by regional governors, a team of mining and metallurgical combinators, entrepreneurs and foreign partners.
