Car sales grow to peak level in Uzbekistan

It was reported that car sales increased by 41% over the month, with sales of new domestically made cars up 58% and sales of foreign cars up 69%.

More than 159 thousand cars were sold nationwide in November, 41% more than in October.

The increase in activity was observed in all regions of Uzbekistan. In particular, the greatest increase in sales in November was registered in Tashkent city - by 2 times, in Ferghana region - 57% and in Surkhandarya region - 47%.

It should be noted that car sales in the country doubled since the beginning of the year compared to the same period last year and totaled 1.3 million cars.

Also in November, sales of new cars of local brands was 27,000, an increase of 58% compared to October, while sales increased by 70% compared to the same period last year.

Sales of new foreign-made vehicles for the month increased by 69.6% and reached 2.9 thousand, and compared to last year it increased twice as much.
