Championships in Samarkand

From September 23 to 25 this year, the 4th Central Asian Open Championship will be held in Samarkand. Over 300 athletes from 11 countries will take part in the international competition.

Teams from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan will visit Uzbekistan for the open tournament. They will be joined by athletes from Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines.

The sports competition was organized by the Ministry of Sport of Uzbekistan, the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan and the Athletics Federation under the auspices of the Asian Athletics Association and Uzbekneftegaz JSC.

It is noted that the Afrosiyob Arena sports complex in Samarkand will be the venue of Central Asian Athletics Championship. Also, on the third day the next stage of the Uzbekneftegaz Chairman's Cup and the Save Aral 2022 International Charity Marathon will be played.
