Chevrolet Tracker-2023 is being produced in Uzbekistan

After Uzbekistan, China and Brazil, the crossover Chevrolet Tracker-2023, the most demanded in export markets, the most sold crossover in Brazil, Mexico and the Philippines, became the third country to start production.

On July 18, 2022, JSC "UzAuto Motors" started production of Chevrolet Tracker-2023 at its plant in Asaka.

The production of the car was launched on the GM GEM (General Motors Global Emerging Markets) platform. This was made possible thanks to the modernization of the Asaka car plant and investments in production by local supplier partners. The total volume of investments is more than 620 million dollars.

At the first stage, the production capacity of the platform will be 80,000 Chevrolet Tracker cars per year.

During the implementation of this project, new technologies such as laser and plasma welding, laser body measurement were adopted at the Asaka plant, as well as extensive work on the modernization of production processes at the plant and component suppliers.

In addition, the UzAuto Motors Powertrain plant mastered the production of modern and economical 1.2-volume, three-cylinder CSS Prime turbo engines, which are used to equip Chevrolet Tracker cars. The new engine is more powerful than the 125 hp Tracker cars imported from China. The power of the new Tracker is 132 hp.

At the first stage, Chevrolet Tracker will be produced in 3 main configurations: LS, LT and Premier. Car sales are planned to start on August 30 of this year.
