China has provided «green» energy to almost every home in the country

According to data from the Bloomberg agency and the National Energy Department (NEA), wind turbines and solar power plants in China generate the electricity needed to power almost all residential buildings in the country.
The agency's report notes that wind and solar energy production increased by 21% last year to 1,190 TVt/hour. According to the same data, China's total housing energy consumption was 1340 TVt hours, which is 14% more than last year.
The NEA report highlights the rapid growth of renewable energy in the country against the background of multi-billion dollar Chinese investments in this direction in order to solve environmental problems and reduce dependence on expensive fossil fuels.
According to the facts, residential buildings in China account for a relatively small share of the country's total energy consumption compared to other countries. In the data of the International Energy Agency, it is indicated that in 2020 only 17% of the electricity generated in China was used directly by households.
