Compulsory coronavirus test in Uzbek airports

Pursuant to reports, it takes 15 minutes to get express test results, which costs $ 5 USD. The test enables 50% sale for students, free for disabled people in Group I and II, and no test is taken from children under age 2.

In accordance with Uzbekistan Airways, this decision was declared at a meeting by Special Commission on January 11.

Particularly, from January 15 on, in cooperation with the State Customs Committee and the Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare Service, express test points will be set up in the departure lounges of all international airports in Uzbekistan.

By the decision of the special commission, all passengers arriving in Uzbekistan will undergo mandatory express testing at airports. The test is performed by the Central Laboratory of the State Customs Committee.

A passenger will be isolated in case the test is positive.

Passengers flying to Uzbekistan will continue to be asked for negative PCR test results.

PS: The PCR test must be taken no later than 48 hours before the flight.
