Conscription has been announced in Ukraine

Reserve officers and privates between the ages of 18 and 60 have been called up for military service in Ukraine.

This was reported by the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Wednesday.

On February 22, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a resolution calling up conscripts for military service at a critical time for the country.

"The call applies to reservists aged 18 to 60. The call starts today. The duration of service is up to 1 year", the statement said.

Pursuant to the General Staff, the reservists will first serve in the military units in which they previously served. Recruits and average salaries of conscripts will be retained.
