Consideration of the international legal framework for the Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan state borders

On December 21, 2022 Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bahromjon Aloev met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Yermukhambet Konuspaev.

The sides discussed the current state and prospects of relations between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. Special attention was paid to the organizational and substantive aspects of the state visit by Kazakhstan's President to our country that has commenced today.

The talks also covered issues pertinent to the final international legal registration of the Uzbek-Kazakhstani state border. The sides noted the productive work of the Uzbek-Kazakh Joint Border Demarcation Commission and the importance of completing the demarcation of border for consolidating good-neighborly relations and deepening trade and economic ties between the countries.
