Cooperation with a Russian company Gerofarm
In Moscow, the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the management of the Russian biotechnology company “Gerofarm” signed an agreement on the formation of a project for the production and supply of insulin drugs.
The document envisages the establishment of a working group between the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan and “Gerofarm” to implement a project to localize insulin production in Uzbekistan.
The project will significantly boost the popularity of a number of important medicines for patients with diabetes and will be a crucial step in abating the dependence of the Uzbek health system on imports of these drugs, ensuring drug safety and developing biotechnological production in Uzbekistan.
