Current tasks for the implementation of the innovative development strategy have been defined

On July 25 of this year, under the leadership of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan - Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade J.Khodjaev, a videoconference meeting was held to discuss the current state of activities aimed at introducing innovations in the republic and the prospects for its development.

Heads of ministries, agencies, industry associations, local authorities, as well as higher educational institutions and research centers participated in the dialogue.

The participants focused on the implementation of the Innovative Development Strategy of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2022-2026. It was noted that this program document, approved by the relevant Decree of the head of our state, contains specific target parameters.

In particular, in 2026, Uzbekistan will enter the list of the world's 50 most innovative countries, more than 1700 innovative projects will be implemented in various sectors of the economy and social sphere, the number of innovative activity subjects will increase from 613 to 2250, and the number of innovative infrastructure subjects will increase 3 times. It is also envisaged that the number of new jobs created as a result of the implementation of investment projects involving the introduction of innovations will increase by 4 times.

In order to achieve the set goals, it was emphasized that it is necessary to establish systematic cooperation between entrepreneurs, industry associations, scientific-research institutes and educational centers.
