«Day without a car» will be held in Tashkent

On April 28 this year, Tashkent will host the event “Day without a car”, which has been held in the world since 1995. This was reported by the press service of the capital hokimiyat.

"The importance of this measure is invaluable - on the one hand, it is aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle among people, and on the other hand, at maintaining environmental sustainability by minimizing the release of toxic gases into nature," the message says.

According to the mayor's office, many events will be organized during this day aimed at reducing traffic in private cars, promoting the benefits of public transport and bicycles, as well as walking among the population.
