Department for the Analysis of Legislation in the Field of Justice will be set up

The Presidential Decree on Additional Measures to Further Improve Access to Justice and Raise the Efficiency of the Courts has been issued. Under the Decree, the Justice Analysis Department will be set up within the Supreme Court as part of the Justice Analysis Directorate.

It is worth noting that the Decree approves a short-term strategy for taking the judicial system to a qualitatively new level, which covers the period of 2023-2026.

Under the strategy, one of the tasks of ensuring justice is the full digitalization of the courts, the introduction of artificial intelligence technologies, the improvement of interdepartmental electronic information exchange and the expansion of opportunities for remote participation in court hearings.

In accordance with the decree, measures to develop effective mechanisms to prevent cases of contempt of court, to strengthen administrative responsibility for this and to establish criminal liability have been identified.

A judicial information policy concept for 2023-2026 will also be developed.
