Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan met with the Secretary General of the Turkic Council at the headquarters of the Turkic Council in Istanbul

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mukhtar Tileuberdi visited the Secretary of the Turkish Council in Istanbul on March 18, 2021. The Minister and his staff met with the Secretary General of the Turkish Council Baghdad Amreev and his assistants.

The Secretary General expressed gratitude to the Minister of Kazakhstan on the occasion of his kind visit, support of the Turkic Council and confidence that Kazakhstan's active role in strengthening cooperation between native speakers of Turkish within the Turkish Council will continue.

The parties, at the suggestion of the First President of Kazakhstan and Honorary Chairman of the Turkic Council Nursultan Nazarbayev, discussed the preparations for the Informal Summit of the Turkic Council, which will be held in Turkestan on March 31, 2021, and discussed the current work of the Organization and the upcoming semester program. They stated that the summit will provide a platform for closer cooperation and deeper integration between the Turkish states.

Tileuberdi stressed that Kazakhstan will continue to fully support the efforts of the Secretariat of the Turkic Council.

The guest  also signed the Special Notebook of the Turkic Council and stressed that the historic building of the Council's headquarters will become an invaluable center of the organization's achievements.

Tleuberdi and Amreev also exchanged views on various regional and international issues.
