Diplomatic academy to be established in Uzbekistan

According to a new resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a Diplomatic Academy will be established on the basis of the Higher School of Diplomacy at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.

The procedure for training candidates for diplomatic posts at the Diplomatic Academy is defined in the Regulations on Organising Training for Candidates for Diplomatic Positions at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.

The Academy will send those selected to the talent pool for appointment to the positions below by order of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
- Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
- Permanent Representative of the Republic of Uzbekistan to international organizations;
- Consul General, Consul;
- Advisor-Representative, Consultant (including on trade and economic issues), First Secretary, Second Secretary, Third Secretary, Attaché in diplomatic missions, consular offices, representations to international missions of the Republic of Uzbekistan in foreign countries.

The training courses will be conducted in traditional and distance learning forms.
