Disney will sign a nearly $ 4.5 billion contract to broadcast UFC fights

Disney, which owns a majority stake in ESPN sports broadcaster, had been in the business of buying sports betting for several years. Many sources say they have finally taken a step in that direction.

In 2018, ESPN paid the UFC $ 1.5 billion for a 5-year contract. UFC President Dana White said the deal raised the UFC’s value by $ 7 billion.

Now, ESPN + Disney will sign a $ 150 million contract to broadcast UFC fights under a contract that expires in 2025. If ESPN renews the deal, Disney could make more than $ 4.3 billion.

P.S. The UFC's broadcast rights currently belong to ESPN.
