The Republican Seismo-Prognostic Monitoring Centre of the Ministry of Emergency Situations has reported that an earthquake struck Tajikistan today at 07.53 and 08.50 Tashkent time. Earthquake coordinates: 39.37 degrees north latitude; 69.79 degrees east longitude. Magnitude M=4.9. Depth is 15 km. The epicentre of the earthquake was 216 km south-east of Tashkent.
