Elon Musk's Starship prototype has been tested

SpaceX achieved the first successful touchdown of its prototype Starship rocket during the latest test flight of the next-generation launch vehicle in south Texas on Wednesday,

This was the fifth launch of the ship. Four previous attempts ended in failure: the ship exploded either during landing, or after, or still in the air, reports The New York Times.

One of the prototypes managed to land successfully, but it should be added that it exploded shortly thereafter due to a fire. After landing (at the very edge of the landing site), a flame burst out from under the bottom of SN15, which remotely controlled ground-based fire extinguishing equipment could not extinguish for ten minutes.

“Mars, we are coming!”: Musk called the tests of the Starship spacecraft that exploded during landing as successful.

In 2023, the Starship is expected to launch, which will bring Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa and eight other people to the moon. On March 3, Maezawa announced the recruitment of eight expedition members from around the world.
