European Bank for Reconstruction and Development to lend $47.1 million to Uzbekistan

The loan amount provided by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development will be used to develop the electricity sector, in particular the construction of a new grid connecting the villages of Sarmay and Jankeldi in Khorezm and Bukhara regions.

For reference, the total capacity of the wind farms is 1 GW. This power plant project resolves electricity problems in the northern and southwestern parts of the country.
