As you know, Uzbek silkworm breeding has a long history. Today this area is even more developed and has become a national pride.

Naturally, the life and work of our enterprising, hardworking and selfless silkworm breeders, today's advanced results of silkworm breeding should be reflected not only in domestic, but also in foreign cinema, thereby setting an example for the future generation. In accordance with this, a meeting was held in the Committee for the Development of Sericulture and Wool Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan jointly with the Association "Uzbekipaksanoat" and the Agency of Cinematography, dedicated to the filming of the feature film "Silk".

The meeting discussed issues such as the choice of filming locations and characters involved in them, a broad interpretation of the system's activities in cinematography. Information about the ancient history and modern possibilities of silkworm breeding is presented.

Bakhrom Sharipov, chairman of the Uzbekipaksanoat Association, noted that filmmakers will be provided with all conditions and opportunities for filming.

“The main thing is to have a high-quality film that is worth watching for centuries,” B. Sharipov said. - It's good that the film also reflects that the main character has achieved great results, starting from difficult periods in the development of the industry. Also, I think that all these factors, such as caring for silkworms, the processes of growing cocoons, the production and deep processing of silk fabrics, the establishment of the production of finished products from silk, the export potential of the industry will further increase the level of production.
