First death from bird flu reported in China

The first death from the H3N8 virus has been recorded in China. This was reported yesterday by the World Health Organization.
It is noted that the victim was a 56-year-old woman living in Guangdong province. She was hospitalized with symptoms of pneumonia and was diagnosed with H3N8.
Despite appropriate treatment, the patient died two weeks later. It turned out that the woman had contracted bird flu at a market.
According to epidemiologists, people should avoid approaching infected and dead animals.
