First meeting of the heads of the railway administration of the OTS

The first meeting of the heads of the railway administration of the Organization of Turkic States took place today, 27 October, at Hilton Tashkent City hotel.

The meeting was opened by Baghdad Amreyev, Secretary General of the Organisation of Turkic States, in his opening remarks, who touched upon reforms, agreements, cooperation and further plans being implemented in the field between the OTS member states.

The Deputy Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan, heads and responsible representatives of railway administrations of Turkiye, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan also participated in the meeting.

The meeting discussed issues related to the importance of interaction in the transport field, further development of international freight transport processes between the member states of the Organization, increase of transit potential in the region, as well as development of alternative transport directions.
